    It's Something Inside/Motorcycle Roadracing Doc

Hey everyone! John Schofner is hoping to make a really cool motorcycle racing movie. With the slow and painful death of roadracing in the US, please help if you can. Even if you can't, please share on FB and Twitter. John is wanting to create a first rate, high quality film. The trailer shows...

    Sport-Touring tires: Any recommendations?

What psi are you using? The Q2 is uber grippy. Both my R6 and Tuono TV4 drag hard parts with them on. Road 2's on my FZ1 spun up like not tomorrow, especially when cold.

    Oil change before winter.

I like the 120. :) It displaces more water.

    Oil change before winter.

WD40 is a solvent and will break down rubber, not a good idea for rubber parts. If you really care about your tires use a set of stands to lift the bike off the ground, cardboard isn't going to help anything. If it's freezing, it's freezing and the weight of the bike is on the tire regardless of...

    Anyone use a tankbag?

+1 on the Cortech magnetic bag. I used it on the FZ6 and the FZ1. I have the same bag with straps that went from the 1125R, and now to the V4R. If you want a bling bag, the SW Motech line is hard to beat. The bag locks onto the gas cap area via a mounting ring and never touches the tank. It's...

    Longest Ride in one Day

852 miles, Denver to Phoenix, on my '81 GS1100EX back in the 55 mph days. 62 mph was about as fast a one could go and not get a ticket. God that went on forever! I've done 550 on both the FZ1 and the Tuono. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2

Stuck in 3-4-5-6 gears at a stop.

It's a sequential transmission, that's how they work. As you slow down shift into the appropriate gear and you're good to go. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2

    Totally Gutted...!!!!

Before you wait several weeks, try the 35mm film solution. Find a strip of 35mm negatives, roll them around the slider, and up into the fork seal, pull back down, do several times. Sometimes all you need to do is pull out a small bit of dirt from under the fork seal. Of course you need to add...

K&N filter makes air box cover not sit completely flush?

Honestly the stock filter is very good. 1) It fits correctly, 2) It filters out dirt and dust, 3) it is a HEPA style filter, not a "paper" one. I don't see a reason to use a K&N unless there is a truly custom application. Heck, the Buell 1125R won Daytona Sportbike with an OEM HEPA.

As long as you have a slip on you'll be happy.

OP, get a PCV, a custom tune and be happy! Life is too short to piss up a rope.

Power Commanders - Worth the money?

My proof, the many bikes I've had tuned. What is your proof? Most "dyno shops" are Hardley Ableson douche bags who don't know squat about tuning, and only "add more fuel." Contact ECUnleashed, I've piloted flashes with them. Go talk to Marc Salesburg. BTW, he tunes for Roger Hayden and Danny...

Power Commanders - Worth the money?

The tuner I work with is Micah Shoemaker the co-owner of AF1 Racing in Austin and New Branaunfels, TX. He has been tuning for 20 years, and uses a Factory Pro EC997 dyno with a Factory Pro 4 Gas High Speed EGA. Not the cheap DynoJet stuff. In other words, he has the very best equipment and...
