A factory part is never going to better an aftermarket part, be it an exhaust or suspension while keeping the price tolerable. Buying and selling back mods is much more sensible than paying the premium on the factory part. Personally, buying parts used cheap and selling them has helped me break...

If they bumped the price with all those components, buying a FZ1 instead will be a no-brainer (not that it is already not!). Its best to mod the bike to your liking and sell the parts off when you sell it. win-win

This particular dealership is awesome in downtown Nashville. They prepped for me a 0 mile Ninja 1000 to ride too. Had test-ridden the FZ1 twice too which made my decision on one and I haven't given them a dollar of my business. They just love serious bikers I guess.

I am the last person to go by the mags but most recent comparos rate it on par with Ninja 1000 if not significantly better. That shows something about a 7 year old model. You will not get quiet with the GP style cans. The regular ones like Akra, Scorpion and Yoshi are pretty quiet, atleast on my FZ1. I have a Micron GP as I posted in the pics when I want to wreck havoc on the backcountry roads and the smooth Scorpion for regular commute/touring.

True, I agree. My FZ1 is the bike I fell in love with. If FZ1 was not there, it would be the FZ8. I am sure if the naked FZ1 is offered here, all of you would have bought that instead.
