I've had the plastic one for over 20000km not showing any signs of wear. And the metal one seems to require a rubber band or something to pinch it on the handle bar. The black plastic one is cheaper and doesn't stand out on the bike. My :2cents:

This is what my "black" levers look like after a month. Yes, they really were black. You can even see where I moved the adjuster it's darker under where it used to be. If you buy the cheap chinese levers, I suggest you get them in natural aluminum color, it's the only way you'll be sure of them...

Bought a pair for 35$ too, in black. 20 days later, the black anodization is turning bronze...they work fine, but you get what you pay for.

Had the same thing done to my MT-01 bar ends. Then painted them black, looks like stock parts now.

bluestreakracing.ca are also worth a try. They don't have tons of stuff on their site but can usually get it for you if you call.

I had a Vortex done, it took about a week and it was at my door. For bikes like the FZ8 they rarely have them stock, so they produce on demand.

2 very different bikes. MT01 is a V-twin, vmax is a V4, more power, less handling.

I paid 6900$ for my mine bone stock 2007 with 9800km in mint condition. So though theres tons of mods on that one it doesnt have the Akrapovic exhaust (like 2500$ for slip-ons and as much for the headers..). 4000$ of carbon parts doesnt add up to 4000$ on the price when you sell it. I probably...
