Pillion Strap

Internet research shows that the pillion strap which is supposed to serve as a passenger grab handle, is actually nothing more than a decorative strap to leave an imprint in your passengers butt after a long ride; or a hat holder or worse, a perfect place for the meter maid to leave you a city donation slip.

I tried taking it off but it looks funny, and was wondering if anyone else did anything about it.

First thing I did when I got the bike! IMO, it's useless and looks better without it

I use mine to help balance the bike when putting it on a rear stand

naaaa my camo Remington hat... were slightly red neck around these parts hahaha but i do have a yamaha not a Harley.
