I took apart my front forks and found out I have been riding my bike it's entire life on a broken left fork rod... so now I am in search of buying one and was wondering if anybody who has swapped out their forks has one they can sell me.. preferably at a reasonable price and not 350 dollars from Yamaha... lol LET ME KNOW!

Is it true that fz8 only has damping on the right side and yamaha left the left untouched for the front forks?

Yes, it's a little bit crazy. Most of the new bikes have preload adjust on both sides, adjustable compression damping on one side and rebound on the other. My Fazer8 has too - after installing Öhlins cartridges :)
