It is not vapor lock. One of the great benefits of fuel injection is that it eliminates vapor lock due to the fuel being under high pressire which will push through any vapor that is formed after a hot soak.....the dealer is wrong.

I just hit 142 out in the CA desert this past Sun morn.......not a soul around except the CHP I cruised by 2 miles later at 55 mph.......close one.

Yamaha specs for clutch free play I will answer my own question so others can have the info: Yamaha spec for clutch free play is 0.39 inches-0.59 inches or 10-15mm for our foreign friends that use that horrible metric system.

Does anyone know what the clutch free play should be on 2011-2012?

I have a 2012 FZ8. I have been an auto master tech for 25 years and everyone has a different opinion on how to break in an engine. According to Yamaha, you are to keep the engine below 5900 rpm for the first 600 miles and vary the rpm. Do not do any steady high rpm rides like on the hwy...
