Throaty sound starting from 3.5K RPM

Hi,

Does anybody else notice the sound of the engine getting more throaty starting from 3.5K RPM?
It's very noticable. When below 3.5K RPM, the engine sounds like the FZ6. wen going past 3.5K, the sounds suddenly get's a more throaty character.
This is exhaust sound.

I wonder if this is normal.
When I look at the FZ! dyno chart, there is an increasement of torque around 3.5K. Could this be the reason?

I have a K&N air filter and akrapovic slip ons.

I have a stock exhaust system and I get a very throaty growl around 5.5k to 6.5k. Sounds nice.

Get a power commander and a custom tune..sounds like your a/f ratio can be smoothed out.
