Rough Idle

Hiya fellow FZ8'rs....recently did the AIS unplug and airbox mod and notice that the idle is a little rough...not much but it jumps from 900-1000rpm and down again constantly....no biggie as the bike runs awesome other than that....

Ive got the Power Commander 5 on their so Im wondering if its just a bit of F/A mixture adjustment...dont think the idle screw needs to be touched....

thoughts people?

I'm not sure if the PC would come into play in this issue, unless you have a auto tune down stream. The AIS injects air into the head beyond the exhaust valves, so it "shouldn't" effect your air/fuel mix.
I did the same mod, without the PC, and had no idle issues.

Mine too has a sort of "lope" to it since I installed smog caps. I dont have a PC, and its only on the initial (cold) start. I recently gutted my cat also, no change. Ive put about 500 miles on since installing smog caps and it is starting to go away. Maybe something to do with the fuel maps in the ECU as removing the AIS richens it up? Bike runs great aside from the rough idle.
