remote shock cartridge

Ive been looking for a pic i saw of a mod where the shock gas cartridge is remotely mounted. anyone seen this?

With the stock shock? I can see how that would be possible as the shock can technically be opened, but just adding a reservoir with do little to nothing to change the performance. What the shock really needs is a rebound adjuster, but you would have to change out the entire shaft and bottom eyelet....much cheaper to just buy a used FZ1 shock somewhere.

I've got one.
That's my photos with my old ExtreRacingShocks Tech2 with separated component.
Now i sold that for a Sachs "piggyback" solution.

nice. did you have to chop any plastic from the tray or drill any holes. looks good. how does it handle & how much adjust ability?

That is nice!! Its worth it but they are pricey. Ohlins makes one also without the reservoir and maybe a little less adjustability for about half the price. That shock would probably suit must FZ8 riders perfectly.

Did you do anything with the fork?
