Hi folks,

Getting close to joining your ranks. :D

It's suddenly turned to fall around here. Does anyone know if the FZ will have any problems with a heated vest and gloves?

Thanks,
Rob

CW list it at 560w you should be fine just don't take lots of short rides plugged in unless you plug in when your parked when the temps drop down into the 30s f ...

Winter riding is the best time for me anyways...

Thanks Tammy. 560W should be fine. I have the habit of turning down and off when I stop at lights, etc. to save on draw. And it will be a tender most of the time.

i wouldnt ever worry, i use a 90w heated jacket liner and heated gloves. when i go to work in the morning i sit in the parking lot for 5-10 mins with the bike off but the jacket on, and i never had a problem starting it up

The alternator is rated at 40 amps output at 6500 rpm. That should be plenty for your heated garments.
