Gas pumps or cans

I hate the newer gas pumps out there for filling up. The trigger is either on or off, no in between setting at a reasonable flow that reduces splashing.

There is a gas station that has older pumps that I usually go to, but its out of my way..

Maybe I should get a new gas can and keep it in the garage...
I have a few old gas cans for the lawn mowers, but the gas has gotten old in those, and there is some gunk at the bottom that I'm not sure how to clean out, and not sure I want to fill up and contaminate my baby...

What does everybody else do?

Not had a problem really, Just squeeze gently and keep the nozzle below the screen untill it's almost full.

I keep a rag handy, half the f*@$ers drip on my tank anyway, never fails.
