Okay update 200 miles later. I'm not sure if it was just residue from something else or what the deal was. But I cleaned up what I thought was oil seepage and it appears to have stopped is there no more signs of it
I think that the residue you are seeing is the excess silicone sealer they put on the half circle part of the gasket. Mine has the same look to it and it has looked the same sinc I bought it.
