New HID headlight

This is the coolest mod ive seen so far. Its now on my list but i also have a few questions if anyone can point me in the right direction. Im interested in the headlight with a white halo ring and a red demon eye. Now is the demon eye the running light or low beam? Also if not how does it work, do you add a switch so that you can run the demon eye or the low beam? I really like the effect but i dont want to lose the basic headlight ( which is my reason for upgrade to a projector anyways). Thanks guys

It can be on your running lights but it def. doesn't affect low beam so you won't lose any headlight functionality just gain complete awesome. Now, that said, I have mine wired in separately, I run a permanent hot from my battery "to those who cringe at this idea, it's on a switch and, I fused the line" I figure it's all for show anyhow. I need to learn what the power drain is because we've got a couple H-D boys at work that let there L.E.D.'s burn all night. I'm also considering putting a switch on the Headlight power as well for the track and running through the railyard I work in, I'm at both at night and both are lit so the kid in me is comin out goin "man it would be awesome to show it off"

Alright, let me give my 2 cents opinion... I bought the KT-MT light before reading all of this and let me tell you, it's worth less than my opinion! That thing makes less light then OE, to a point that I thought it was dangerous. I started installing the whole thing and it's quite the challenge if you are not mechanically/electrically inclined. It took me all afternoon (I'm not that good, and I still don't have the demon/angel lights connected.
Anyhow, now I have a re-sealed lens, with glue all over the place since it was my first ever, a broken tab and a useless headlight. I'll be returning it but need to open the whole thing again to remove it.
Don't buy the KT-MT stuff...

I didn't buy the exact KT projector linked above, but I couldn't be happier with mine. I can't fathom why there'd be a difference. Mine is bright as hell.

Neither have I. They supposedly sent me the KT-MT6 55W 6000K kit (at least according to the box), but it wasn't that bright... I wasn't a fan of the way it's made either. It easily rotates in the housing, tilting the beam sideways. The yoke system isn't very tight so it spins around a few degrees.

How do you get the glue off bezel surfaces it accidentally get smeared on during the process of separating the headlight without ruining the shiny finish?

take a hair drier, heat up that glue spot, it will come off easier once hot.

But its not easy removing that glue from delicate chrome surfaces,

also try so use some goo gone, it usually helps remove glue pretty well.

I'll vouch for goo gone and the glue that Yamaha uses on the headlight. I'm in the middle of switching out the headlight with BK's unit and got some of that black glue on the plastic "chrome" piece in the light. Goo gone took that right off.

Getting the headlight apart was quite a job though. I cooked that thing and used a heat gun but I guess I never got it quite hot enough. I hope it goes back together OK!

Yeah i just did mine and removing the clear lens is tough. i didn't get it hot enough either and deformed a part of the side by having to pry it harder than i should have. but you can't see it with the light back together. also if you need to get back inside because something is not right (i did) you can leave the headlight mounted and unbolt the side pieces then heat around the seam and pull it straight back off again. it will be easier. i got a white bulb and halo so i ordered a blueish bulb and when that gets here ill post a pic.
