Yamaha trading in FZ1 for MT-01 in 2016??

This weekend, my official yamaha dealer told me that in 2016, Yamaha will let go of the FZ1.
In stead, they will bring out a new MT-01. It will have a 4 cilinder new generation R1-engine.

That's all he could tell me.

So there will be a 2 cilinder MT-07, a 3 cilinder MT-09 and a 4 cilinder MT-01.

I hope they will add a lot more weight to the front wheel, and lose the supermotard riding position.

Can anyone confirm the coming of the MT-01?

That may be the new MT-01, but the bike in those pictures is certainly not a replacement for the FZ-1 - it's clearly got a V-Twin (or v-4) engine of some sort. Not the same one used in the MT-01, I don't think, which has a narrow-angle v-twin with visible pushrod tubes.
Good thing, because that thing in the pictures is pretty damned ugly.

interesting, but I don't think either that the bike in the picture is going to be the new MT-01. (description says MT-0S?)
The looks of that bike isn't my cup of tea.
