Handle Bars

Hey everyone i am new to this forum and i just got a 2011 FZ8 about a month and half ago and i love it. i want to change the handle bars so i can crouch down a little more and i read on here that if you turn them down they hit the gas tank. i was just wondering if anyone tried a different set and if so which ones did you use? also was wondering if anyone has tired clip on bars and also which one did you use?

I changed my bars to drag bars. I had them converted upside down into cafe style bars but it was way too uncomfortable ( and I'm a 24 year old dude, in his prime)

So i brought them up to reach a medium.

first pic is of the more aggressive, but extremely uncomfortable bar position.

the second one is the one where I reached a medium.

I tried this to get a lower profile, but my biggest obstacle was my feet / legs needed to go back as well, so adjustable rearsets were needed.

Ordering a set of black Vortex tomorrow.

You have adjusted your stock bars all the way forward? You do not like that?

Look up on ebay for drag bars, you can get black 7/8ths bars for less than 75 bucks. I prefer the Vortex MX series I got. They are taller and wider than stock, I have them pretty forward and it feels great! Get on ebay and start looking up 7/8ths handlebars! good luck!!!!
