so the locknut for my front sprocket on my '11 fz8 flew away while riding im assuming. I suddenly lost power and heard noise from front sprocket. I parked and took the cover off to see the front sprocket has jumped from the output shaft's teeth onto the threads of the locknut, squishing half of them... and the locknut nowhere to be found. Now I can only put a locknut halfway in, not reaching the sprocket to keep it in place.
The best solution I found is to attempt to repair the threads with the exact same pitch and size. I do not want to weld the sprocket or the nut, I want to see if anyone has a better solution or some insightful input. Thank you
