FZ8 Exhaust dB and tone

I was curious if anybody ever tried to measure the decible output with a decible meter as I have one (got it for outdoor movie nights to make sure I was within the village's requirements) and tone with say a guitar tuner? I would really like to get a new slip on, but have 3-4 cops within 3 blocks of my house.

It depends on the state. You can use a dB meter. But it has to be held at a specific point and only at idle.
