Build up of gunge/ oil in the drive sprocket and casing

I have a 2014 fz8 and notice what I thought was leaking oil, on closer inspection I noticed that the sprocket casing was full off crap!... could I be over doing with chain lube?

I switched from chain lube to chain wax and I noticed a huge decrease in build up. It does feel good knowing its all clean out, doesn't it? Lol

The "dirty" chain with Maxima chain wax side by side with a freshly clean chain. I love how it stays relatively clean.

Looks normal to me. Just needs to be cleaned out from time to time. I removed my sprocket cover to make it easier, and I prefer the look without it.

I also use chain wax and it definitely does not build up as much gunk as the other spray on lubes.
