It is a little washer that goes on the oil drain plug. When you tighten the plug it gets flattened or crushed. It helps to make a good seal between the pan and plug. They're cheap and easy to get at the dealer.

If you end up getting the R&G peg delete and hanger check the thread pitch on their bolt and the one you remove from the factory pipe hanger. mine came with a different pitch than the factory one and I had to run to lowes and get a matching nut to go with it.

There's a reason they still have one on the floor with a deal like that. I'd keep looking. My dealer didn't charge for destination or pdi. I paid 7870 for the bike and about 500 tax when I registered it without really negotiating at all.

I've got an RF1100. I really like it. Its the only helmet I've ever had so I can't compare it to anything else. It does seem a little noisy sometimes but it vents well and is very light and comfortable.

I just ordered one of those Kriega tailbags. Looks like the perfect thing to carry my work clothes in when I ride.
