    How....?!

I keep up with the forum ADV Rider and I completely understand "How do they do that" question. I used to think that only multi-day, multi-state trips were the only way motorcycle adventures happen and I still do to some degree. LoL. I have found that exploring your locality can be just as...

    What... No exhaust?

I too have been looking at this car, but I'll be if I can't find a US release date.

    just back

1200 miles in two days, nice. I'm jelly of that 50+ mpg. Bah! I wear this Alpinestars jacket year round. Stops cold air brilliantly and the rain just as well. For pants? Some cheap Columbia ski pants from TJ Maxx for $25 that I Nik Waxed, but finding them too hot for summer usage.

How do you carry spare helmet?

+1 a bungee net and can be used for other things.

    Nashville,TN

I'll check out the road out, on Google Maps looks fun. Oddly, enough in all my years of riding I have never ridden the Dragon, Cherahala Skyway; I have been around the area several times too! Hopefully, the weather holds.

    Nashville,TN

Highway 49 from Charlotte to Erin was a blast to ride this past weekend. There were some other roads on my ride, but I was lost, so I can't recall the roads immediately. I've only been in Nashville for a couple of months and I'm still discovering. Any recommendations on your part?

I'm in Nashville, but I find I rarely ride in Nashville, mostly heading for the hills. LoL.

anyone install the Givi 3D600 bags yet?

LMAO. I did feel ridiculous running down the interstate, but there has to be something said, that I was able to carry 80% of my worldly belongings on a motorcycle?

anyone install the Givi 3D600 bags yet?

I hit a Golden Retriever at ~30 mph. Didn't phase the dog, little bastard was back two days later chasing cars. Thanks for the offer, but I think the scratches add character to my bike. LoL.

anyone install the Givi 3D600 bags yet?

I also have these bags. Compact, stable, and rigid bags. A little on the small side; I actually got the Givi T477 tailbag for extra room. You have to cut out slots for the rack to mount to the tail frame. Be sure to have the proper tools (e.g. not scissors like me). I have the stock fender...

    Yamaha FZ-09?

LoL. Can't give up the 8's hauling capacity nor ease of long hauls on the interstate.

    Yamaha FZ-09?

I toured for a month on a Ninja 250 and had more fun on that bike than any since.

    Yamaha FZ-09?

Agreed, love me a Yamaha. I started with a Ninja 250 and would love Yamaha to put out something comparable in the USA. I just have an affinity for small cc bikes.

    Yamaha FZ-09?

Maybe in ~10 years they'll be worth more than we paid?

    Yamaha FZ-09?

Yamaha seems to be outputting bikes with big engines (read cc's) but in small, tidy packages. Look at the Star Bolt, 950cc engine in that small frame? 850cc in a package that is more compact than the FZ8. Couldn't they just call it "FZ9" instead of "09"? [start of rant] Don't get me wrong...

    Yamaha FZ-09?

The Yamaha site says "adjustable preload and rebounding" front and rear? Is this not adjustable suspension? The tail light looks tacked on, similar to how the Bolt's rear light looks too. The seat looks wafer thin, then again I'm looking at this bike as a light touring bike like I use my...

    Yamaha FZ-09?

Thoughts? Inline 3 for less than 8k with ride by wire tech? Kind of sad to see the 8 go so quick, but the replacement is pretty sweet. I'm torn on the looks though, not the instant love/lust I felt for the FZ8.

Riding North of Nashville the other day and I'm not even sure I went round a curve. LoL.

I must have only been in the flat sections of Texas. LoL. For real though, I consider Nashville flat too.

Good all around jacket and gear

I found that wearing my Marmot jacket underneath my mesh jacket and then my rain jacket over the mesh jacket provides plenty of warmth and versatility. A* GP-R something something.
