I feel pretty lucky. down here in san antonio there were only a few weeks where it was too cold to ride or just frozen over outside. but for the majority of winter I've been saddling up to and from work. 65 mile total commute. and going on awesome weekend hill country rides.
here in san antonio the temp easily hits 110° F in the summer and I never had any heating problems. even sitting in traffick. and holy crap does it suck during rush hour. the highest the bike read was 214ish. it isn't unbearable to sit on though.

its not too bad here in central texas. the weather flip flops all crazy during the winter season. 80° one day, 30° the next, 60° the next. so there are plenty of good riding days. oh did I mention awesome riding in every single direction from home? twisties for days.

I loved the cbr250 but damn I was craving more power. so the FZ8 fit the bill perfectly. its actually a very identical riding position and I can throw it around quite well. just not as well as the 250. only by a bit though
