Hi mate The rear caliper moves as you said on my bike as well (floating caliper i think it is called) so nothhig to worry about there, are you pressing the brake pedal hard as it seem the bike is creeping on half pressed disk.? have you had the rear wheel off at all?

When i put Renthal Streetfighter Bars on mine, i ordered Goodridge race front braided lines and they are a good fit... IF.... you re-root the lines through the outermost space on the headlamp cowl. Re-root the throttle cable through as well.

It still makes a rattling/loose noise when hot, then when the fans kick in it goes. So i am thinking alternator noise as when under load it stops. Engine is fine with no other issue. Anyway it's hard to hear now i have a Mivv exhaust on:)

Thanks for all the info and ideas guys, what i have done is gone out tonight warmed the engine up and put a video up on YouTube. It will give a better idea of what i mean, you can skip to 1:40 when the fan starts and goes off 2:39 the noise will come back, if i rev it slightly the noise fades...

Hi, just wondering about engine noise on the fz8? my bike starts up and sounds nice up until it gets hot (about 96 on temp) if i then stop and re-start the engine it sounds nice for about 15-20 seconds then i can hear a loose mechanical rattling sound? (gearbox rattle?) which seems to be...
