Definitely normal behavior, my bike does the same thing.

This is a 2013... Yamaha didn't manufacture the FZ8 in 2014, only from 2011-2013... Check your frame for actual manufacturing date! It's on a sticker in the front of the main frame under the tank, unless you removed it.

Holy cats I need that silver shield. I have the same blue color, I got a 2015 snell too, hard to find in Minnesota. That silver is so cool. Cute kid too.

My 2015 Arai RX-Q is simply amazing. It's queit and my head slices through the wind like a knife on the FZ8. Worth the money for an Arai.

I think I will try this out with some more LEDs. What wires did you connect too? I have front and rear ground wires open, also I have an integrated tail light.
