Find a used FZ6 from 2007-2009. They are cheap and very easy to ride and parts are plentiful. I owned an 07 and an 09, great bikes before I upgraded to my FZ8.

I always walk the bike back out of parking spots or get of the bike and back it into a spot so when I leave, I don't have to walk it out. I also hip slide when at a stop to put one foot down. I'm 5'5" with short legs. LOL

One should be enough and if not, just add a little water to top it off. I use water wetter for my bikes here in California without worrying about freezing and it's what they recommend for trackdays. :D

You are correct. But don't fill it too low either. :)

I've seen plenty of trackday instructors giving two up rides on the track with the FZ8 so i know it will do great. I also ride with a local group in Sacramento. You're welcome to come ride with us. I'm a Mod for the local forum. :D

Another alternative is that you could get heated grips...:p

My rack and top case came yesterday and I spent all evening cutting the tail section to make room for the rear rack to fit. After several trips to the store and borrowing a friend's dremel tool, I was able to finish the job and got everything mounted and ready to go. One last note, it was...

Welcome! I too needed a bike that is comfy for the long rides because I hurt my lower back snowboarding and can't handle a sportbike's ergo. Love my FZ8! :D :welcome:

I do leave the cap off when I run my engine to burp all the air bubbles out. Then I top off and put cap back on with minimal spillage.

Thanks! I had a Shad case for my FZ6 and loved it. I checked them out and none had the passenger grab rail on the rack so that's why I'm going with the yamaha rack. I ordered the rear rack from Yamaha Genuine Parts and the top case on Amazon. thanks for the parts number Larry. Cant wait for...
